Larry E. Bennett Post 255

The National Night Out on August 1 was well received with new members signing up.  Thank you to Lorraine and Richard Ensign, Jill Johnson, Tony Martinez, Teri Alcala, and Shirley Allen for manning the booth during the event.

It is supposedly the end of the summer and the Post will begin our Fish Frys on Friday, September 8.  We look forward to seeing everyone!  Also, the Annual Post Picnic will be held on Sunday, September 24 here at the Post.  Come down and enjoy some good friends, meeting up with friends, and having a great time.

On a personal note, I would like to THANK everyone who helped with the surprise party for my parents  (contributions for food, cooks, decorators, behind the scenes, and all that lent a hand in preparing).  The look on their faces when they walked in to the surprise party and the surprise visit from my brother and sister-in-law from Texas made the work we put into it a huge success!!

If you haven't already paid, the 2018 Membership cards are in.  Help us reach our 100% membership goal.

I am looking at the calendar to schedule a couple of more fundraisers.  Be on the look out for flyers announcing the events.  I know it is early but start thinking about your costumes for the Annual Halloween Parties for the children and the adults.  Donations of candy, treat bags, prizes, and much more will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the wonderful surprise party for myself and Martin.  A special thank you to my daughter for planning the surprise.  And to all of you who helped make the night special.  We can't thank you enough!
